Pacific Medical Centers Receives High Score on Spring Patient Satisfaction Survey
The spring survey indicates that 78 percent of patients polled ranked their overall visit as “excellent” – the highest rating on the five point scale – compared to 77 percent last fall. The results also highlight that PacMed continues to deliver a personalized approach to patient care. The survey found 82 percent of patients rated PacMed professionals’ thoughtfulness, carefulness and competence as excellent which mirrors last year’s positive response.
PacMed is especially proud of all the physicians, nurses and ancillary service providers who have helped build a robust patient service program to identify and address patient needs and ensure they are receiving the personal care and attention they deserve.
In addition, the survey found the following:
- 74 percent of patients in the sample reported their experience as “excellent” based on the amount of time they spent with the person they saw; ratings in this category remain consistent with last fall.
- 77 percent believed their physician did an outstanding job of explaining to them their medical conditions and treatment options, compared to 76 percent last fall.
- 86 percent reported that their physician or healthcare professional had excellent personal manners; ratings in this category remain consistent with last fall.
Each fall PacMed participates in a patient satisfaction survey conducted by the American Medical Group Association’s (AMGA). Committed to delivering excellent patient service, PacMed surveys its patients in the spring with the same set of questions. The results are used as a mid-year check in to gauge how well PacMed is delivering on its patient service.
The survey polled 3,424 patients receiving services across PacMed’s network of clinics and service providers over a four week period between April and May of 2009.
