Plan Ahead: Traffic & Transit Impacts for Wednesday’s Seattle Seahawks Championship Parade

The Seattle Seahawks World Champions Parade, tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 11, is expected to have significant traffic and operational impacts across downtown Seattle. With expected attendance ranging from 750,000 to 1 million people, please prepare in advance for longer commutes and detours as needed.

Parade details: 

  • The parade will begin at 11 a.m., at Fourth Avenue and Washington Street in Seattle, on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
  • The parade will continue northbound along Fourth Avenue, ending at Fourth Avenue and Cedar Street.
  • The parade is expected to take two hours, with no further activities planned at Seattle Center following the parade.
  • Link light rail will operate as normal, and Sound Transit and King County Metro buses will operate on alternative routes.
  • Vehicles exiting I-90 onto Fourth Avenue will be directed to Fourth Avenue in the southbound direction. I-5 and I-90 on and off ramps will be held briefly at the start of the parade but will open shortly after.
  • During the event, Pierce Transit is providing special event bus service from the 512 Park & Ride and Tacoma Dome Station (TDS) to Federal Way Downtown Station, to connect fans to Sound Transit’s 1 Line Link light rail.
